Organic Colour Removal (OCR) For Tannin Removal

Tannins are decayed animal and vegetable matter which discolor your water and cause it to stain almost everything it comes in contact with.
Tannins present in water can lead to fouled water in your ultraviolet light system. Bacteria can “hide” behind organic particles in the water as it passes throught the uv. The bacteria are not killed in such cases, and may be present in your drinking water, even after the water has passed through the ultraviolet light
How it works
The Organic Color Removal filter works like a water softener.
It contains a bed of specially formulated resin. As water passes through the bed, the organic color is held by the resin. Eventually the resin becomes saturated and must be cleaned and regenerated. A brine solution is drawn into the resin bed to release the accumulated minerals. The minerals and brine are rinsed away with fresh water and the regenerated resin is ready to work again.
