Left: Two Mainstream BioSand systems are installed for the Canadian Coast Guard on a lighthouse island off Nanaimo, BC. The light stations are manned year-round and use only rainwater collected from the roofs of the buildings. Electricity is supplied by generators.
Top Right: Transport to the island is by helicopter only.
