A gravity fed BioSand unit with a pretreatment tank, and clean water holding tank, for the removal of colloidal silt and arsenic. As there is no electricity on the property, a gasoline-driven pump is used to transfer water from the contaminated well into the 500 gallon holding tank. Water then flows from the holding tank through the BioSand and into a clean water storage tank using gravity.The pump house is being built around the system.
