Okanagan residents warned of uranium in their water

SUMMERLAND - Residents in a small south Okanagan community are being warned their water contains more uranium than Canadian guidelines allow.

However, officials are also saying radiation is not a concern.

Nearly 80 residences on the Faulder Water System, near Summerland, received the water quality advisory from the Regional District Okanagan-Similkameen, which stated: "Boiling the water will not lower the uranium level."
