"Wanted you to
know that we got out coliform test back and there are no bugs or critters.
Looks like the UV unit is doing it's thing! Almost seems to good to be
true! Anyway I will recheck it again in a few months to be sure. Great
not to buy bottled water! It is essential for us to have pure water as
my wife had a bone marrow transplant. Your filter is the most cost effective

"...I've taken
the initiative to get the water purification system up and running, and
wow, it's great. As far as drinking water straight from the tap in Kampala,
it is impossible. The number of bacteria and diseases that inflict the
city water here is amazing. I am constantly listening to reports on the
radio of the latest cholera breakouts in the area and for people under
no circumstances to drink untreated water. Up until I installed the purification
system, Michelle and I had been purchasing factory bottled water and going
through great lengths to avoid using any tap water for consumption. As
for the location of the water purifier we have a spare shower room on
an adjacent wing of our house ... so I have taken the opportunity to install
the purifier in the shower room. ... a constant source of tapwater via
the shower head. The shower head flows directly into the top of the sand
filter, however I have found the sand filter to be quite slow so I have
to limit the flow from the shower head as not to overload the sand filter.
The filter is able to produce 20 litres of fresh drinking water every
hour, of course I am not using 20 litres of drinking water hourly ...
but I do store my water in 20 litre containers ready for use. The containers
I am using are they type that fit on your typical home water cooler. Once
the container is full I then cover the top of the container with a piece
of saran wrap held tightly in place with an elastic band. This helps seal
the mouth of the bottle for when I put the bottle upside down on the water
cooler. ... it is very easy to use. All one has to do is walk in, turn
on the UV filter, then turn on the water supply from the shower head and
then open the outlet valve which feeds the 20 litre container, look at
your watch and come back in one hour..."
